DOM iX10 KG System

This reversible key system meets every security requirement, however demanding. The system far exceeds German and International standards and the requirements of insurance companies and public authorities such as DIN, CEN ans Insurance Class B. With the innovative floating ball system and it's sophisticated design, this is a locking system that offers:

-

Pocket-friendly reversible keys with extremely stable key shoulders

- Key way located horizontally in the cylinder core
- Movable floating ball in the key for added security
- Special reversing pin in the cylinder
- Three stage security system
- Enhanced drilling protection
- 2 in 1 Security reserve with individually encoded locking mechanisms

The Floating Ball System

As well as the ten pin tumblers and the vertical and horizontal profile control pins (which are controlled by the drillholes in the key), the DOM iX10 KG key has a special chamber in which a floating steel ball is mounted. The ball is the only element which can move the deflection pin (which projects into the key way) and actuates the spring-loaded special tumblers arranged on each side of the lock. The special deflection chamber in the cylinder is protected against access from the outside, and in addition to this, the tapered core pins, housing ring pins and the high standard of drilling protection already provided as standard (steel or additional carbide metal body as an option), together with the armoured rings (optional) provide the highest levels of security against picking, impressioning and pulling.

DOM iX10 KG - The Ultimate Convenience for Master Key Systems
The DOM iX10 KG is your answer to virtually any complex master key application. Thanks to it's design, locking convenience and technical masterkey volume, the DOM iX10 KG is a reliable investment.

DOM iX10 KG 2 in 1 - Double Security with the Encoded Individual Locking Arrangement
With the encoded individual locking arrangements, a second locking system is provided by the manufacturer which you simply call into action whenever you need it - and simply with the turn of a key.

How does this work?
This system is easily explained using the example of a landlord and his tenant. The cylinder lock is issued with two sets of keys - one set is kept in a safe by the landlord, and the other set is used by both the landlord and the tenant to gain access to the premises. Should the tenant not pay his rent, the landlord has only to insert a key from the second set into the lock and turn it 360 degrees. This will completely disable the first set of keys (the tenant will not be able to access the premises using a key from the first set), and the second set of keys will now be able to lock and unlock the premises.

This system eliminates the hassle of having to replace the lock under the above circumstances, saving time and money.

This double security system protects against:

- Key loss
- Theft
- Uncertainty about the existence of duplicate keys
